Me playing Beethoven’s “Fur Elise,” recorded using the iPhone 3GS microphone as a “voice memo.” At several points during the recording, the iPhone began to slide off my lap, requiring me to move it back into place (resulting in background noise and off-tempo playing). At louder volumes, the compressed audio of the iPhone “voice memo” application can’t handle the fidelity of the piano sound.
