/Filmcast Vernacular Starts Seeping Into the Culture
/Filmcast listener Scotty from Wichita Falls, TX writes:
I just started back to school teaching high school. It’s important for a teacher to build a rapport with the students and get to know about things they are into like books and movies. I had a class with a few minutes at the end and we were talking about books, one boy was talking about Harry Potter and I asked if he was satisfied with how the series ended. He started to talk about it and someone was like, “What happens at the end? I didn’t read them.” Before he chimed in, I said, “Does anybody care about the end of Harry Potter and we won’t say it?” No one objected so to clear it I said, “Spoilers for Harry Potter coming up.”
